If the item was no longer available I have found something similar.
I’ll be honest, I’m usually not a fan of matching outfits with someone else. I know I know, a mommy & me duo who doesn’t like to match?! WTF?! But now that I have a family and especially since having a daughter, I’ve slowly come around to the idea of matching outfits. I find myself buying her clothes that are similar to the things I would wear. Maybe its the ex-stylist in me but instead of exactly matching I like to put together outfits within a theme, color palette, similar fabric or pattern to create a cohesive look. Plus, a lot of the looks I come up with are items we already had in our closet and making it work together.
So for this look, I picked some neutral pieces that made it easy for layering and accessorizing. I used the dusty rose floral detail in my skirt to pick out Lana’s cardigan and headband. Lana’s striped dress is a great staple to add to your little one’s wardrobe, it goes with everything and anything. As for me, I have to say that hat is my go-to accessory for Fall. So don’t be surprised if you see it in most of my photos!
Mamas, grab your favorite dress or blouse and find something in your little one’s closet with the same pattern or color shade. Have fun with your wardrobe and try coordinating outfits with your kids too. You’d be surprised how easy it actually is!
