I took it upon myself to attempt homeschooling my preschoolers. (Wish me luck!) I started researching Montessori teaching, preschool curriculums, saving activity ideas on Pinterest, and downloading free worksheets from other homeschool mamas.
I really wanted to do this because my daughter is so eager to learn and I feel guilty she is missing out. She's loving the responsibility of her "homework" and taking care of her backpack school supplies. But most of all she really gets a kick out of when I get into the “Teacher Mama” mode and takes it very seriously when we’re in class.
This craft kit was such a lifesaver and couldn’t have come at a better time. We were hitting 2 months of being quarantined and the kids were tired of doing the same activities over and over. You can tell how much love and creativity went into these craft kits; they are individually handcrafted and perfectly curated according to the box’s theme. You can choose from themes like Dinosaurs, Unicorns, Construction, Llamas, Firetrucks and so much more. The kit comes with all the materials needed to create 8 crafts.
Last summer, I woke up in the middle of the night to my first “something’s not right” feeling. I turn over and Lana was crying in her sleep. I’ll never forget that defining moment when I knew for a fact my maternal instincts had kicked in.
I've always been more of a creative person and love doing arts and crafts with the kids. I genuinely enjoy coloring or painting Paw Patrol & Disney Princesses with them. 🤣 So, I thought of looking into coloring books for adults. I always heard it can be calming so I figured why not! I came across an ad for “Paint by Numbers” and that was just what I was looking for.
Father’s Day is right around the corner & if you’re like me I’m still googling gift ideas for my husband, brother, dad & father-in-law. So I’m going to save you some time and share some good gifts I found. Here’s some last minute but still really thoughtful gifts, they won’t even know you found these at the eleventh hour. Thank God for Amazon Prime & Target Pick-Up (try Drive-Up option on the app, you’ll thank me later) these gifts will come in just in time.
It’s our job to respect and validate their feelings no matter how trivial their problems may seem to us. It’s completely our job to help them navigate through these big feelings now, so that they can solve their problems independently and become more resilient in the future.
While we are all sheltered in place with our kids, I know a lot of us are trying our best to keep them busy, entertained & on top of schoolwork. I've been scrambling to find different fun and educational activities to keep my kids active and engaged every day. I also wanted these activities to be with items we already had laying around the house to lessen our trips to the store and deliveries only for essentials.⠀So to help all my fellow parents who were just as clueless as I was, I’ve put together a list of all the activities we’ve tried. I'm hoping that sharing this list will help ease the stress of figuring out what to do with your kids every day.
